THE BLACK SWAN - BLACK SWAN Director: Darren Aronofsky
Nina (N. Portman), the New York City Ballet dancer, is ambitious and very competitive.
The director and choreographer Thomas Leroy (V. Cassel), after having fired the first dancer (W. Ryder) entrusts the lead role in a version of Swan Lake.
Aronofsky after the sinking of the camera in the flesh torn by Mickey Rourke in The Wrestler (2008) returns with this Black Swan, in a sense taking over the work begun in the previous film, turning the ring stage, and a wink, perhaps, David Cronenberg.
Art History of rivalry, competition within a world circumscribed by a morbid relationship between mother and daughter.
Nina is a girl who has known only discipline and rigor, which has seen its existence stifled ambition and a frustrated mother who has put on her expectations.
White Swan or Black Swan, good and evil coexist in the sick mind of Nina, introverted and caste while hallucinating and paranoid. Psychological Thriller
contours, probably (also) a parable about the loss of identity.
The Black Swan owes something to the literature (Dostoevsky), and especially the absolute masterpiece that is The Pianist (2001) of master Michael Haneke.
scenes of explicit (?) Lesbian sex (for the American Puritans, who were threatening a boycott) that convinced the producers to invest only $ 13 million (when the Portman has cracked a rib, to pay the doctor to get more information from set was sacrificed in the trailer that comes with the same actress). Some
commonplace in the competitive world of classical ballet and sexuality, do not scratch up the good film that deserves viewing.
For lovers of curiosities, the talented Portman crying on this occasion.
